Biography:
Steven J. Shaw is one of the firm's partners and currently manages the bankruptcy and ejectments / eviction departments representing banks and mortgage companies in all state and federal courts throughout Alabama. He serves a number of other clients concerning various real estate matters such as title insurance, boundary line disputes, and mechanics and materialmen's liens to name a few.
Mr. Shaw joined Stephens, Millirons, Harrison & Gammons, P.C. in 1999, after practicing with the firm of Grace & Shaw. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University at Long Beach in 1976 and his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1989. Licensed to practice law in California, Tennessee and Alabama, Mr. Shaw is currently admitted to practice in all state courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Alabama, and the United States Court of Appeals in the Eleventh Circuit.
Mr. Shaw is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Alabama Trial Lawyer's Association, the state bars of California, Tennessee and Alabama, and the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, where he served as secretary in 1996-1997. He has also served his community as an elected member of the Huntsville City Schools Board of Education, where Mr. Shaw represented District 3 and was the Board's Vice-president in 2000-2001 and President in 2001-2002.
