Biography:
James G. Harrison "Bo" is a 1973 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law; he obtained his undergraduate degree from that University in 1970. He has practiced with the firm since its inception and has been a resident of Huntsville since 1957. His area of concentration is real estate and related banking. He represents a number of builders and developers in the acquisition, construction, leasing and sale of various commercial and residential properties. He also represents several financial institutions principally in the areas of closing, securing and enforcing various types of loans and the subsequent resale of REO properties.
Bo's other areas of practice include acting as a title agent for several title insurance companies; currently, Chicago Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Lawyer's Title Insurance Company and Stewart Title Insurance Company. He has represented these companies both in working with local and national transactions and has worked with several of the companies in resolving claims issues. He has a limited business, entity practice representing numerous small businesses in their creation and operation. Additionally, he also has a limited estate practice creating wills and trust and probating estates.
In the community, Bo is currently the attorney for the Huntsville Madison County Board of Realtors, on the Board of Directors for the Huntsville Madison County Botanical Gardens and a member of the Huntsville Metropolitan Kiwanis Club. He is a former Board Member of the Huntsville City Schools Foundation, serving as President, Hospice of Huntsville, his Kiwanis Club and Huntsville Madison County Builders Association, where he also served as its Barrister. He is an active member of his church serving in various positions there and as longtime youth Sunday School teacher.
Military: Commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army, Armor. 1970. Retired at the rank of Captain.
